Ban on Skeletal Models - Bigger Girls Welcome
Fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier found his own way to comment on the 'size zero' debate - by putting a larger model down the catwalk to show off his clothes. Dressed in a daring black corsetry, the plus-sized model dwarfed her fellow waif-like catwalk queens.Clearly more of a size 20 than the controversial model Size 0, this voluptuous woman proved big is beautiful as she strutted down the runway at Gaultier's 30th anniversary show yesterday during fashion week in Paris.
There has to be an honest solution to this problem that isn't one of the extremes. Nobody wants to have sex with a bag of bones, but maybe a size 20 is too big for some. How about a size 10?

IKEA’s Dog Penis Controversy

An IKEA catalogue with a photo that appears to show a dog with a larger-than-normal, human-like appendage has not been tampered with, according to the furniture giant's Canadian office.
The first photo in the 2007 catalogue -- a two-page, front-cover foldout -- shows a young family lounging on a bed with a dog.
The dog, which appears to be a greyhound or whippet, seems to have one distinctly human male characteristic, prompting some to suggest the image had been tampered with by a mischievous employee using a program such as Photoshop.
Ikea Canada says that's simply not the case.
"The picture has definitely not been tampered with," Debbie McDowell, corporate communications manager for the Swedish retailer's Canadian office told CTV.ca.
She said the photo was shot in Sweden, where the catalogues are put together.
"We saw this particular photo when the prints came through here in Canada. ...But we can definitely say this is a picture of a dog's leg, and it is not something else."
It's not the first time the trendy home-furnishings company's catalogues have come under scrutiny. IKEA's publications have developed an almost cult-like following online. Readers have found all kinds of strange tidbits, including mysterious cat pictures, apparent Mickey Mouse references and weird books wedged into the many shelves that clutter the catalogues.

Instant messages, released by ABC News Monday and attributed to former Rep. Mark Foley, suggest he tried to arrange a meeting with a teenage page in Washington.Foley, a Florida Republican, resigned Friday after his alleged e-mail and instant-message contacts with pages were reported by the media. Both federal and state law enforcement officers have said they have launched investigations into Foley's actions.
Foley Monday announced that he had entered an alcoholism treatment center.
CNN cannot verify whether the instant message comments reported by ABC actually came from the congressman.
According to ABC News, Foley, using the instant messenger user name "Maf54," repeatedly tried to meet the teen.
In one alleged instant message exchange, Foley tried to arrange a dinner with the page:
Maf54: I miss you lots since san diego.
Teen: ya I cant wait til dc
Maf54:
Teen: did you pick a night for dinner
Maf54: not yet...but likely Friday
Teen: ok...ill plan for Friday then
Maf54: that will be fun
The earlier instant messages released by ABC News involved the same Maf54 username.
In another exchange released by ABC News, the page apparently was uncomfortable with Foley's alleged advances:
Maf54: I want to see you
Teen: Like I said not til feb...then we will go to dinner
Maf54: and then what happens
Teen: we eat...we drink...who knows...hang out...late into the night
Maf54: and
Teen: I dunno
Maf54: dunno what
Teen: hmmm I have the feeling that you are fishing here...im not sure what I would be comfortable with...we'll see
